Fugro has been awarded a contract by Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited, an ExxonMobil affiliate, for survey services at a deepwater field development offshore Guyana. The contract provides for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) geophysical survey and an environmental baseline survey, along with shallow geohazard and geotechnical coring.

Fugro is providing an additional vessel, the Havila Harmony, to join the search for the missing flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean. From the 93-metre multi-role vessel, Fugro will deploy the Echo Surveyor VII autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).

2G Robotics recently delivered two deep-rated ULS-500 subsea laser systems to Oceaneering International, Inc.'s business unit, Oceaneering Survey Services (C&C Technologies) ("Oceaneering"), a leading provider of deepwater seafloor mapping services, subsea surveys and satellite positioning. Including these two ULS-500 systems, Oceaneering now utilizes six of the ULS-500 systems with its Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) as part of its advanced survey and inspection services for assessing pipeline and flowline integrity. Oceaneering has used the 2G Robotics ULS-500 system to accurately and efficiently inspect 2500 kilometers of pipeline and flowline.

Subsea engineering, construction and installation company, Subsea 7, has successfully used acoustic and inertial navigation technologies from Sonardyne International Ltd. during a project to install flowlines, risers and subsea structures at a major new deep water field development in the Gulf of Mexico, due to commence production in 2016.

On 28th September 2015, two subsidiaries of Atlas Professionals, South West Surveys (SWS) and Geomotive, will become official Atlas offices. The offices based in Exeter (UK) and Vic (Spain) have been a part of Atlas Professionals for several years, expanding Atlas’ scope in Offshore Management & QC, Marine Environmental, QHSE and the Seismic and Electromagnetic markets.

Abu-Dhabi based TES Survey Equipment Services LLC is to become the first company in the Middle East to rent the latest 6G underwater acoustic positioning technology from Sonardyne International Ltd. The order for multiple Mini-Ranger 2 Ultra-Short BaseLine (USBL) systems and Wideband Sub-Mini 6 Plus (WSM 6+) transponders will be added to TES’ existing hire pool of Sonardyne equipment and used to support offshore survey and construction projects across the region.

Making her debut at the Martin Midstream Dock in Galveston, Texas, USA, Fugro’s premier geophysical survey vessel, the Fugro Americas, was showcased to top clients, with over 100 in attendance.

Recent innovations will also be featured, including Fugro’s OARS™ virtual surveying system, which heralds a new wave of offshore monitoring operations and eliminates the need for an onboard surveyor.

Fugro has been awarded a contract by BG International Limited Sucursal Honduras to conduct an integrated multibeam echosounder survey and seabed coring campaign over its offshore acreage in the Honduran Caribbean. As part of BG’s exploration licence commitments, the campaign will map the seafloor to interpret, identify, sample and analyse potential hydrocarbon seeps. Fugro’s modern 65-metre survey vessel, MV Fugro Brasilis, commenced the two-month mapping and interpretation portion in July 2015.

Seabed Geosolutions will soon mobilise for the variation order that was signed today by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) with CGG to conduct a shallow water seabed survey. The survey is over the Ghasha-Butini field, will take around 12 months and has a value of around USD 125 million. The recent successful completion of the Hail-Shuweihat survey has promoted this variation order, confirming ADNOC’s confidence in Seabed Geosolutions’ ability to operate safely and efficiently.

On June 11th, 2015, Fugro’s premier geophysical survey vessel, the Fugro Americas, successfully completed data collection for a geochemical coring campaign in the Caribbean. The project marks the maiden voyage of the new-build vessel.

MMT (Sweden) has been contracted by ABB to perform a pre-lay and UXO survey for a cable laying project between Caithness and Moray in northern Scotland.

MMT, specialists in high-resolution marine surveys, has successfully completed offshore integration trials of their new high-speed remotely operated vehicle with Sonardyne International’s SPRINT inertial navigation system.

MMT and Reach Subsea have just completed their first commercial project with Surveyor Interceptor ROV for Gassco AS at Knarr Gas pipeline in the North Sea.
