UK based subsea service company performs seabed surveys at new deep water well site in the Mediterranean on behalf of M-Surveys, part of the Maritech Group using Hybrid AUV technology.

Modus Seabed Intervention Ltd, a North East UK based subsea service provider, has recently completed a high speed bathymetric and depth of burial survey of the inter array cable routes on the innogy operated Gwynt-y-Môr offshore wind farm, utilising the Modus HAUV-2 (Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) .

Modus Seabed Intervention Ltd, the global specialist provider of subsea vehicles and managed services, has selected JBA Consulting’s (JBA) operational management software – ForeCoast® Marine to help optimise the operation of its Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (H-AUV).

Modus has placed an order with Saab Seaeye for the next vehicle in its Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUV) fleet. The 3,000m rated Saab Sabertooth will be delivered in Q3 2019.

Modus Seabed Intervention Ltd, a North East UK headquartered subsea specialist, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Fugro to provide hybrid AUV pipeline survey and inspection services within Australasia.

Modus Seabed Intervention continues to strengthen its management team with the recruitment of Guy Lainchbury, who joins Modus as Commercial Manager. With over twenty years’ experience in the Subsea Industry, Guy has previously worked as Commercial Manager for Saipem and more recently as Tendering Director for Subsea 7 where he worked for 10 years.

Modus Seabed Intervention has completed system integration and trialling of one of the subsea industries first commercially available hybrid unmanned underwater vehicles; driving high performance, quality and cost-effective delivery of survey and inspection projects in the offshore, defence and oceanographic sectors. The Modus hybrid is one of the first Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) to feature the capabilities and characteristics of a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Working in partnership with Saab Dynamics for over three years, global subsea service provider Modus has developed the Saab Sabretooth specification for greater endurance and speed, and is also developing advanced sensor payload packages and operating methodologies.
