IOSTIA Announces New Membership for Emerging Companies

The Emerging Company membership will help support early-stage companies focused on innovations to advance the Blue Economy. IOSTIA (IO-sha), the International Ocean Science and Technology Industry Association http://www.iostia.org, a 501(c)(6) industry association representing ocean or “blue” technology companies providing products and services to various maritime sectors, announced today a new category of membership to help support early-stage companies focused on innovations to advance the Blue Economy. The Emerging Company membership category is designed to give young and innovative blue tech companies a more manageable point of entry to take advantage of the wide array of business-oriented programs, workshops and networking opportunities offered through IOSTIA membership. The category is open to privately held and private-public partnership organizations developing disruptive technologies that advance the economic impact of the marine industry.

IOSTIA engages USGRI.com to plan and implement its ocean science and technology government relations and lobbying effort

A serious and substantive public policy program will be a major thrust of IOSTIA, and a key benefit to member companies IOSTIA (IO-sha), the International Ocean Science and Technology Industry Association http://www.iostia.org, a new 501(c)(6) industry association representing businesses that provide technology and services for sectors that sustainably and commercially utilize the oceans, today announced that it has engaged the bipartisan government relations and lobbying firm USGRI.com to plan and implement an aggressive public policy program aimed at Capitol Hill and the regulatory agencies in an effort to provide a unified industry voice in Washington, DC. The IOSTIA government relations program will work to introduce or support legislation and regulations that benefit the economic growth and commercial development of its members in the energy and ocean industries.
