DE&S Awards Contract to Atlas Elektronik to Provide Mine-Hunting Systems to Royal Navy

Building on ambitions outlined in the Integrated Review, the three sets of Medium Autonomous Underwater Vessel (MAUV) systems will help to ensure Royal Navy personnel can combat the rapidly evolving threat of naval mines. The new technology will also help maintain the freedom of movement for UK ships and submarines when defending the UK at sea.

Atlas Elektronik UK Awarded Contract to Deliver Mine Hunting AUVs to the Royal Navy

The £32m contract, includes delivery of 3 MHC AUV Systems comprising 9 vehicles in total along with a comprehensive training and support package to run for 3 years from delivery. The MHC AUV System combines the ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH medium-sized SeaCat® AUV, fitted with the latest AEUK high resolution Vision Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) and the Seebyte Neptune and Military software for advanced planning and analysis.

SeeTrack and Neptune Software licences renewed for Royal Navy MASTT AUV fleet

SeeByte, the global leader in creating smart software for unmanned maritime systems, announce the renewal of all SeeTrack and Neptune licences currently operated by the Royal Navy’s Maritime Autonomous Systems Trials Team (MASTT). As part of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Mine Countermeasures and Hydrographic Capability programme, SeeByte, working in conjunction with ATLAS ELEKTRONIK UK will be offering full support and maintenance for MASTT. The software is integrated into their AUV fleet to coordinate the vehicles during Mine Countermeasure (MCM) missions.

The opportunity to rent ATLAS ELEKTRONIK’s latest unmanned underwater technology shall support customers within the offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, UxO and naval markets.
