Triumph Subsea Services Equips DSCV with Aquanaut and Eelume

Triumph has taken a long term BBC on a DP3 DSCV for upcoming commitments for subsea EPCI and Decommissioning projects in the APAC region. SubseaPartner Thailand will be executing the saturation and air diving to NORSOK U-100 compliance, an industry first within the region.





Triumph will be providing the DSCV along with the Aquanaut and Eelume autonomous vehicles, with this being the first time use of this autonomous technology within the APAC region. As a diving industry safety first, the Eelume will be fitted as a ‘resident’ on the diving bell for both diver support and diver safety. The Aquanaut will be used for supervised autonomy for inspection and IMR tasks with HMI’s mission services team providing operational support. The DSCV will be based in Songhkla, Thailand and will be arriving end of Q1 2021. The vessel will ultimately be replaced in due time with a new build based on the Green Technology used within the Triumph fleet.

Triumph Subsea Services is collaborating with Eelume AS to support the continued development of the Eelume articulated robot. Currently Eelume is currently available as a 500msw rated vehicle and will be further developed in 1500msw and 4000msw rated versions. Residency garages will also be developed in 500msw, 1500msw and 4000msw rated versions. A docking system will also be developed, allowing for the Eelume to be deployed with ROVs and subsea packages. The key drivers and differentiators in Triumph’s sustainability growth programme and technology are based on our unrivalled innovations and industry first initiatives. Triumph’s use of Eelume is another example of how technologically advanced robotics and autonomous systems are utilized on our new Green Technology vessels that will be operating within the energy, offshore wind and renewables sectors.
