Requirements & Summary

We are looking for a manipulator technician to assist with a growing manipulator department at Aleron. Over the past 12 months we have established one of the largest rental fleets of ROV manipulators globally and we are expanding our team to manage this.

Job Purpose
You will be responsible for the Service, Maintenance and Management of our ROV manipulators and associated parts (mainly Schilling arms) used as rental assets. This will also include day-to-day workshop duties, including maintenance, assist upgrades of other equipment, inventory and ensuring workshop areas are kept clean, efficient, and safe. Preferable general ROV tooling experience as time to time other tooling duties will be required.

Key Activities
- Liaise with Workshop Manager to ensure workshop and yard area are kept in a clean, presentable, and safe manner.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and upgraded in accordance with system procedures and ensure all documented properly,
- Ensure good safe work practices in the workshop are always maintained with compliance to the company HSE policies.
- Conduct inventories of equipment and ensure stock levels and reorder when necessary.
- Assist teams in the maintenance and preparation of systems prior to deployment.
- Ensure all plant equipment and tools are operated in a safe manner.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks and any company health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure all equipment is prepared correctly and cosmetics to a high standard.
- Comply with the company Quality and Health and Safety procedures

Qualifications
HNC or trade qualification in relevant trade or minimum 5 years’ technical experience working with ROV manipulators.

Experience / Requirements
- Experience with hand tools and workshop environments
- Experience stripping down and rebuilding manipulators
