ROS LTD. Supply ROVOP Subsea LEDs

15.07.2015
Remote Ocean Systems Ltd. (Aberdeen, Scotland) is pleased to announce the sale of a significant number of subsea LEDs to ROVOP, an independent provider of subsea remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

Following technical demonstrations and trials, Remote Ocean Systems (ROS) is providing ROVOP with 32 market leading L300 LED floodlights and 24 MVLED-II spotlights for ROVOP’s newest FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics Ultra-Heavy Duty and Heavy Duty Work Class ROVs.

Released in mid-2014, the L300 is ROS’s latest next generation subsea LED with full range flicker free dimming on either AC or DC power. Combining cutting edge technology, performance and compactness, the highly cost effective L300 has replaced the extremely popular QLED range of subsea lights as explained by ROS Business Development Manager Callum Magee, “The ROS QLED-II & III range of subsea lights have proven to be a mainstay of the subsea and oceanographic industries for more than 10 years. The more technically advanced L300 gives greater illumination coupled with lower power consumption. It’s completely flicker free across the dimming range even when powered by AC, while being the same price as the QLED-III it replaces.”
