OCEANS'16 MTS/IEEE Monterey Conference Update

We are less than 2 weeks away from OCEANS ’16 MTS/IEEE Monterey! OCEANS’ 16 will feature 130 exhibitors, 11 tutorials, 8 workshops and special sessions, nearly 20 student posters, and a record number 510 technical presentations. It looks to be an exceptional week of information-sharing, networking, and engaging in thought-provoking discussions.



The deadline to register for tutorials is this Friday, September 9. Tutorials are half-day or full-day presentations that are meant to complement the technical program of OCEANS ’16 MTS/IEEE Monterey by describing the fundamental elements of a technology and/or rudiments of a subject in a classroom setting. All tutorial sessions will be held on Monday, September 19, the day before the formal opening of the conference. Tutorials are an “add-on” to the main conference registration; however, you may register for a Tutorial without registering for the full conference.

To do so please proceed to our online Registration system http://register.oceans16mtsieeemonterey.org/ then select the TUTORIAL ONLY REGISTRATION option when prompted for the registration type.

MTS and IEEE OES are proud to announce that OCEANS is moving towards digital! This year attendees will have the opportunity to download the program and have active content while helping to reduce waste and saving the planet’s valuable resources.

Are you a golfer? Come early to the conference in Monterey and participate in the golf tournament. The golf committee selected the Black Horse course, a par-72 layout which features sweeping vis­tas of the Monterey Bay and is highlighted by fescue-framed fairways, bunkers with distinctive serrated edges and slickly contoured greens. The golf tournament will take place Sun­day, September 18, at 1 p.m. and includes a number of priz­es. Details can be found on the OCEANS’16 website or at http://birdeasepro.com/oceansgolf.
