Reach Robotics, a leading innovator in remote intervention for harsh environments, has today launched the Reach X Advanced Intervention System, providing a step-change in underwater manipulator technology for portable Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

Organizers of the International WorkBoat Show and the Underwater Intervention Conference and Exhibition (UI) announced that the two events would be co-located in New Orleans in 2023. The International WorkBoat Show is the largest business-to-business commercial marine expo in the United States. UI is the premier event for the entire underwater industry. “We see a tremendous upside for both our attendees and exhibitors with this co-location and we could not be more thrilled about expanding this new partnership with these amazing industry stakeholders,” said Bob Callahan, group vice president and event director of the International WorkBoat Show.

Saipem launches its new sustainable technology for subsea pipelaying which considerably reduces environmental impacts on the seabed. The "Underwater Cold Bending" technology was presented during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), one of the leading international events in the offshore energy sector.

Saipem has been conferred the 2021 Spotlight on New Technology® Award by Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) for its Hydrone-R Underwater Intervention Drone (UID). OTC, one of the world’s leading energy events, will be held from 16-19 August in Houston, Texas.

The main stage at Underwater Intervention 2019 will feature a two-part industry panel discussion on the future of the subsea oilfield. Hosted by BP, the discussions will focus on the direction of the Subsea Oil & Gas Infrastructure’s Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) market. This is an historic event whereby the major oil & gas offshore operating companies will get together, in an open forum, to communicate their vision for the offshore oilfield of the future. Like many organisations, subsea technology company Sonardyne Inc., uses trade shows to launch new products, speak to users about their requirements and identify industry trends. And whilst conversations first held at events regularly lead to a purchase decision, it can be weeks or months later before an order is actually placed. But that wasn’t the case during the recent Underwater Intervention show in New Orleans when equipment rental company Survey Equipment Services (SES) of Houston, placed an order during the show for a Sonardyne Mini-Ranger 2 USBL tracking system and multiple Nano transponders.
