Dear MTS / IEEE OES Colleagues, On September 18-21, 2017, the OCEANS North America conference will be hosted in Alaska for the first time ever! On behalf of the Marine Technology Society and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, the OCEANS ’17 Anchorage Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is honored to invite your participation in this prestigious event. The venue for OCEANS'17 Anchorage is The Dena’ina Convention Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in the center of downtown Anchorage in close proximity to many great hotels, fine and casual dining, eclectic art galleries, and shopping. Within walking distance is the famous Tony Knowles Coastal Trail with its fantastic panoramic views of Cook Inlet and three majestic mountain ranges - Chugach, Alaska, and Talkeetna ranges. As we develop the full technical program in the coming months, we encourage you to submit a paper to share with the MTS/IEEE OES community and welcome your suggestions for workshops, tutorials or other activities. Dear MTS/IEEE OES colleagues, We are writing to you in our capacity as Technical Program Chairpeople for the MTS/IEEE OCEANS'17 Conference, to be held in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, 19-22 June 2017. OCEANS'17 will be a tremendous opportunity to focus on topics of interest to you in all fields of Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering. We are developing a Technical Program that we hope will appeal to the most significant areas of interest.

Every Spring, the Marine Technology Society and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society sponsor the OCEANS conference in either Asia or Europe. It is a prestigious conference/exhibition that draws hundreds of international attendees. The venue for OCEANS'16 MTS/IEEE Shanghai, the Shanghai International Convention Center, has a high reputation both at home and abroad for holding large-scale international conferences, has expansive meeting and exhibition space, with a riverside view, and is convenient to major airports and other local, modern attractions.
