We are less than 2 weeks away from MTS/IEEE OCEANS’16 Monterey! The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) anticipates a great turnout with a superior technical program and wonderful events to educate as well as entertain the registrants. The week will start with local tours at several of the more than 20 marine-related facilities.

The conference will start with an Ice Breaker Reception that will take place at Custom House Plaza on Monday, September 19th, evening. Custom House Plaza is adjacent to the Portola Hotel and is bordered by several historic buildings, including the Custom House.

The program kicks-off with workshops and tutorials then moves on to the core technical program over several days. A highlight of the conference will be the plenary speakers which will feature: Dr. Marcia McNutt, Dr. James Bellingham, John White, and Dr. Thomas Curtin. In addition, there will be special sessions that will be hosted by five group throughout the week.

During the week, the conference will host over 100 exhibitors that will display the latest in ocean technology. Also, some of the exhibitors will host in-water demos. Demonstrations will be held at the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, a short walk from the conference. Attendees will be able to visit the exhibitor’s booth for the specifics of each demonstration.

At the conference, attendees will be able to consult the “OCEANS APP” to find session locations and exhibitor’s booth numbers.
