Last Chance to Register for Ocean Business 2021

08.10.2021
The hands-on ocean technology event opens next week, 12-14 October. Don’t miss out on registering for the biggest ocean technology event of the year. Ocean Business opens its doors once again next week from 12-14 October 2021, at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK.

Following the disruption of the pandemic, the show is back and bigger than ever. Visitors will get up close with ground-breaking innovations at the forefront of ocean science in over 180 hours of product demos and training. Plus, for the first time this year, Ocean Business features a FREE innovation and sustainability conference taking place in a new Keynote Theatre on the show floor across all three days. And with numerous networking and careers opportunities, the event offers visitors the perfect opportunity to make new connections and take their next step in the maritime sector.

Exhibitors include industry leaders and innovators from around the globe, with all areas of ocean technology covered, from marine systems, instrumentation, software and data management, right through to the latest robotic and remote vehicle solutions. They’ll present their latest products in fully interactive demos on the dockside, in test tanks, the classroom, or onboard vessels.

The free-to-attend innovation and sustainability conference is set to be another highlight. As a new conference this year, the team have pulled out all the stops to present high-profile, well respected industry experts who are keen to offer attendees their insight and discuss the future trajectory of the industry.

Among the names preparing to take to the stage are Cathrine Armour, Chief Customer Officer at UK Hydrographic Office; Charlie Thompson, Director of South West Coastal Observatory/Channel Observatory; David Burton, Deputy Head of NATO, UK; Martin Edlund, Chief Executive Officer, Minesto UK; Ruth Adams, Programme Manager, South West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme; Stephen Hall, Chief Executive Officer, Marine Energy Wales, UK; and more. Face-to-face networking is more important than ever after a challenging year. This will be maximised at the show with the return of the popular Ocean Business Wine Trail, giving visitors the chance to network with colleagues, clients and new acquaintances while sampling fabulous wine from around the world – for free. As well as informal networking, the show will hold a ‘B2B matchmaking event’ that offers a chance for potential business and technology partners to meet up in pre-arranged meetings. Both of these events will take place on Wednesday 13 October. Further information about the B2B matchmaking event is available at www.oceanbusiness.com/whats-on/b2b.

Ocean Careers will once again run at the show, from 13-14 October, to provide advice to career-changers and students about career opportunities in the ocean technology, marine science and offshore industries. Attendees will learn from a wide range of companies and organisations through presentations and one-to-one meetings.
