IMES moves to enhanced facility as business looks to grow

12.07.2016
IMES, a leading marine and subsea business, has relocated into new headquarter offices in Aberdeen as part of its strategy to manage a rise in demand for its services. The business says the move into more suitable facilities at Bridge of Don comes in the wake of a number of contract wins in the first half of 2016. IMES is now based at Units 8, 9 and 11 at the Technology Centre at Claymore Drive, a short distance away from its previous premises at Greenhole Place.

Ewan Giles, Business Development Manager at IMES, said: “Our new offices are better and far more suited to our operations as we look to move forward as a business. This relocation gives us improved access, enhanced workshop facilities and well-designed office space.

“We’re confident of winning further work because of our status as an established business with a track record of delivering results. This move into our new base serves to underline our market credentials and we’re delighted to be moving ahead in this way.”

IMES delivers a range of inspection, monitoring and engineering solutions in the energy, marine, defence and industrial markets.

The business is an independent specialist provider of lifting and inspection services, wire rope management, engineering and design consultancy and bespoke load measurement products, ensuring safe operation of cranes, lifting gear and other specialised structures.

The company, which employs 70 people, has additional operations in Montrose, Bristol, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Rosyth and Sheffield. It also has an office in the United States and agents in Singapore and Holland.
