i-Tech Services Receive Significant Inspection Classification Approval

19.06.2018

i-Tech Services, a Subsea 7 company, has further strengthened its Underwater Inspection in Lieu of Drydocking (UWILD) capability with certification to deliver to guidelines set by American Bureau of Shipping, DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas and Lloyds Register.

UWILD is required to ensure the structural and operational integrity of a marine asset whilst on location. i-Tech Services’ inspection division performs these tasks using the latest ROV imaging, cleaning, and tooling technologies to deliver safer, more cost-effective subsea inspections for all types of assets.

Conducting these surveys in-situ saves clients both time and money by reducing downtime, cutting back on off-contract times and reducing or eliminating the need for expensive and limited drydock space.

Neil Milne, Vice President, i-Tech Services, said: “We have an extensive track record in inspection operations spanning 40 years and these latest approvals, from all four main classification bodies, enhance the quality and reliability of our underwater inspection offering.

“Our UWILD capabilities build upon our wider portfolio of life of field technologies and services, providing clients with integrated solutions to maximise the safety, operational performance and efficiency of their assets.”
