EDT Offshore and UTILITY ROV launch Boulder Clearance Vessel

Utility ROV Services Limited (“URS”) and EDT Ship Management Limited (“EDTSM”) have today entered into an agreement in relation to the provision of Boulder Clearance Services utilising the UTROV load bearing ROV system system and DP2 vessel, EDT Kennedy.
The services will be provided to clients as a permanently mobilized spread, inclusive of UTROV Boulder Clearance system and Survey spread to provide a cost effective and highly productive boulder clearance spread to the UK and European Renewables market.
URS will deliver the combined services to Clients, with their track record and experience in Offshore Renewables, whilst EDT will provide the Vessel, Ship Management and all associated support relating to the vessel.

The agreement is based on an initial 1 year period with options to extend.
UTILITY ROV SERVICES were established in 2013 and have developed an extensive track record in boulder clearance. The company is based in Glenrothes, Fife and operated three UTROV systems. and have conducted operations from EDT’s vessels in the past. This relationship strengthens the capabilities of URS to react quickly to requirements in the market with a proven partner.
EDT SHIP MANAGEMENT began operations in Limassol, Cyprus in 1980 as ship managers and operators. After more than thirty years of work dedicated to achieving world-class standards, EDT has become a highly successful and well respected organisation. EDT is a manager of high specification offshore support vessels to the Oil and Gas industry worldwide, including The EDT Jane and EDT Hercules that are operating in the North Sea region. They provide a range of vessels support survey, diving and ROV operations and have assisted in military and civilian aircraft wreckage recoveries.
