Atlas Professionals secures German North Sea project with TenneT

29.07.2015
Atlas Professionals has been chosen as the 1st tier supplier for Dutch-German transmission system operator TenneT for the supply of senior personnel to the North Sea. The contract will allow for Atlas’ senior personnel such as Client Representatives to oversee operations of some of TenneT’s Offshore Projects including the various stages of BorWin, DolWin, HelWin and SylWin in the North Sea sector.

As one of Europe’s top 5 system transmission operators, TenneT plans to install grid connections from the HVDC platforms in the North Sea towards land substations; connecting all of Northern Europe’s offshore wind farms. Atlas Professionals will employ its experienced Offshore Wind & Subsea Cables team in collaboration with its Offshore Management and QC business, South West Surveys, to deliver highly skilled personnel to the project.

Atlas already supplies TenneT with Offshore Installation Managers for its offshore substations having been awarded the framework earlier this year, and after successfully providing Client Representatives, Strategic Advisors and Project Management teams to TenneT for the last four years, this new four year contract award means we are well placed to continue this key partnership.

Rory McMahon, Atlas Operations Manager said: “Atlas has a great track record with TenneT, working closely with them to oversee operations through the provision of Client Representatives in particular. We are delighted to have been asked to continue as the primary provider of these key personnel and look forward to playing our part in further developing the Offshore Wind capacity of the North Sea in support of TenneT. As 1st tier supplier for TenneT, Atlas personnel will be at the heart of this ambitious project.”

Atlas Professionals is a dedicated HR services provider in the energy and marine industries, specialising in providing personnel to the areas of, among others, Offshore Wind & Subsea Cables, Offshore Survey & Construction, ROV, Offshore Management and QC, Engineering and Offshore Marine.
