Rovco Successfully Commences Year 2 of Multi-million-pound Agreement on Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm

22.09.2021
We are happy to announce the commencement of our year 2 subsea and hydrographic campaign on Beatrice, Scotland’s largest operational offshore wind farm.

Remaining incumbent at Beatrice forms part of our continued growth strategy, with Rovco now having worked at over 50% of the operational wind farms in UK waters. Our growth is further supported by the recently announced investment of £9.5m in our new Survey Solutions division.

Managed from our operational base in Edinburgh, our work on Beatrice includes inspection and survey work across nominated subsea jacket and inter array cable locations across the wind farm. Enabling year-on-year tracking of asset condition and the provision of potential preventative maintenance planning insights. The project is utilising the powerful combination of the DPII vessel Glomar Wave, a Work-class ROV with associated tooling spread and PanGeo’s 3D Sub-Bottom Imager™, all operated by our experienced offshore team. The Coral Wind hydrographic survey vessel will be chartered locally from Moray First Marine and used in the campaign, to support with multibeam and scour assessment surveys.

Martin Sutherland, Site Operations Manager of Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm, said, “This is Rovco’s second year delivering offshore surveys and inspections to Beatrice, and once again we look forward to a successful campaign. The cohesive working relationship between Rovco and the Beatrice operations team will undoubtedly enable the efficient and safe delivery of the project.”

Simon Miller, Managing Director of Rovco, added, “We are delighted to have been awarded the year 2 scope of work under the competitive framework agreement on Scotland’s largest operational offshore wind farm. Delivering the best quality on-time data insights that the Beatrice team need for their ongoing O&M planning and decision-making. Importantly, we will work with local partners and talent, alongside our own team, to once again ensure the safe and successful completion of the work on the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd.”
